Residential
4 Bedrooms

This home is inspired by two primary aspects, travel and art. The 3500 square foot apartment is a bubble where we preserved the family’s culture and experiences through the years. Many of the furniture pieces were re-used and repurposed which came together to create this space. The aim of this project was to ensure the home catered and reflected the family and their journey together.

Living Room

The client enjoyed entertaining and would often have guests over. It was important for the couple to feel intimate with a group of six as well as with a group of twelve. The general area in the home needed to be divided and transformed without any physical barrier. This home also needed to be automated and evolve from day to night.

The living room layout did exactly this without breaking the space up. The closeness of the furniture encourages conversation and interaction between guests.

Living Room

For the home to transform we used light as our main design tool. To accentuate each space, we created cove lighting on the ceiling. The dining had a wooden panel with drop lights. The living room was seperated into two by the lighting. There is a chandelier hanging above the chaise, to divide the space. The cove on the ceiling runs down onto the wall where we have displayed two artworks. This wrap around softens the sharp edges of the room.

Living Room

From the doors, cushions, fabrics. This entire home was personalised. For example, inspired by the Gracie wallpaper purchased, we designed and hand embroidered curtains to reflect the wallpaper in the space.

Living Room

Many of the furniture, accessories and artefacts have been re-used and re-purposed. Our designs include items that hold sentimental value to the clients and their families. Homes are a reflection of who we are and we chesrish that.

Living Room

The master bedroom is adorned in fabric with a Romanesque feel, a sense of grandness. Shades from the artwork were mirrored in the colour palette of the bedroom.

Living Room

The elder daughter’s bedroom needed to have open space for her young kids to use. Thus the TV Unit is large and has ample storage space for four. Grey and pink themed, the bedroom is not embellished beyond requirement.

Dining

The younger daughter’s room is playfully and ornately designed room reflecting her personality
